She holds her MFA from the Jackson Center for Creative Writing at Hollins University and was awarded an Author Fellowship through the Martha's Vineyard Institute for Creative Writing. Her essays and fiction have been published in Literary Hub, Pleiades, The Drum, The Brevity Blog, The Briar Cliff Review, and The Coal Hill Review, among others. She has taught and coached writing at Augsburg University and St. Olaf College, and she currently teaches The Mother Writer course at The Loft Literary Center.
